A Queensland home visit for a reported 7-foot snake became a double removal when snake catcher Stuart McKenzie found both a carpet python and a large huntsman spider in the bedroom. Both animals were removed and released away from the room, according to the source report.
McKenzie, working with Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers, had been called after the resident shut the bedroom door and waited for help. Before locating the python, the rescuer spotted the spider on a wall and later described it as unusually large.
The python was handled with professional equipment and then by hand before being taken to a wooded release area. The spider was removed more improvisationally, using a hat before it was released outside onto vegetation.
For editors, the story is best treated as a light human-interest item rather than an esports report despite the source branding metadata. The main caution is that the account appears to rely on one report and its accompanying video, without an independent wildlife authority cited for the size or species details.
