Saracens seal record PWR crown as Packer signs off with two tries

Saracens are Premiership Women's Rugby champions after a 52-14 win over Trailfinders at Twickenham Stoop. Marlie Packer marked her final Saracens match with two first-half tries as the club secured a record fourth league title.

The final was shaped early by Saracens' forward control and clinical finishing. They led 26-0 at half-time after four tries, then added four more after the break, with Jess Breach also crossing twice and Zoe Harrison contributing both from the tee and with a try of her own.

Packer's farewell gave the match an added emotional edge. After nine years with Saracens, she is set to join Harlequins next season, leaving as a four-time league champion with the north London side.

Trailfinders' appearance in the final was still a major step for a club that joined the league in 2023. Tries from Maya Montiel and Abi Burton gave them second-half points, but Saracens' experience and depth proved decisive on the day.

For Saracens, the result restores their position at the top of the domestic game and moves them ahead of Gloucester-Hartpury in the title count. For Trailfinders, the challenge now is turning a breakthrough season into sustained contention.
